DHAKA: The government on Monday appointed Councilor of Ward-21 of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Nizam-Ul-Azim as its acting mayor.

RCC public relations officer Quazi Amirul Islam told banglanews that they received a message from the Local Government ministry in the evening in this regard.

On May 7, Pro-BNP fugitive mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul was suspended for bring accused in several criminal cases including sabotage and arms and explosives.
