Bangladesh to be violence-free in SA Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina

FROM GULSHAN: Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina said her government has curbed violence, terrorism and militancy, which once affected the nation.

Bangladesh will be a violence-free nation in South Asia, she added.

The premier made the assertion while inaugurating a commercial building of Bangladesh Police Welfare Trust in city’s Gulshan area on Thursday noon.

The PM said her government has been working for the welfare of police force. Law enforcers have been playing an important role in curbing violence. They have dedicated their lives, she added.

According to the PM, Bangladesh was once affected by terrorism. Ruling Awami League has mitigated the problem with the assistance of the intelligence agencies.

The intelligence has been playing a laudable role in encountering any sort of terrorism in the country, she added.

Mentioning Bangladesh’s gradual economic progress, the premier said that her government has been working for the development of the nation.
