DHAKA: A man, who sustained burn injuries in an arson attack on June 2, lost his battle for life at the burnt unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Ranjit Sharma, 59, of Sairakhali village of Mirsarai Upazila of Chittagonga. He was a former teacher of Rnagamati Government College.

Deceased’s nephew Jahur Lal Sharma confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier on June 2, Ranjit received severe burn injuries when miscreants hurled petrol bomb at a running passenger bus in front of Jute Research Institute in Chandina Upazila of Comilla district.
