JESSORE: Father and son were killed as lightning struck them at Gobindapur village in Keshabpur upazila of Jessore district on Saturday noon.

The victims have been identified as Andul Hamid (45) and his son Abu Huraira (14).

Keshabpur Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Mahtab Uddin told banglanews that the duo were struck by lightning when they were working at a paddy field amid rain in the area.

Later, locals rushed them to Upazila Health Complex, where on-duty doctor declare them dead.
