CHITTAGONG: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members detained a drug peddler with around 10,000 pieces of yaba tables in Pachlaish thana area of Chittagong port city.

On a tip-off, law enforcers conducted a drive and detained Mohammad Ganu Mia (50) from the main gate of Chittagong Medical College and Hospital on Saturday afternoon.

Moreover, 9,800 pieces of yaba tablets, worth of Tk over 39 lakh, were also seized from his possession.

Ganu Mia, son of late Oli Ahmed of Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district, has been handed over to Pachlaish Thana in Chittagong.
