DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s newly appointed press secretary Ihsanul Karim joined the office on Thursday morning.

He was replaced of outgoing press secretary AKM Shamim Chowdhury.

Earlier, eminent journalist Ihsanul Kaarim was made press secretary to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. An order issued by Public administration ministry in this regard said on June 15.

However, Ihsanul Karim worked as Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) managing director and also press secretary to President Abdul Hamid.

He joined BSS as a reporter in 1972 and worked there in different posts.
