FROM NATIONAL PARLIAMANET: The process of proper enlisting of country’s freedom fighters is underway. The genuine list will be published soon.

Liberation war affairs minister AKM Mozammel Huq said while answering to a question of Sadhan Chandra Majumdar at the National Parliament on Saturday noon.

To another question of Fazilatun Nessa, the minister said the process of excluding the fake freedom fighters is also underway.

A total of 2,528 people have already been excluded from the list as they were, later, proved as ‘fakes’.

The minister further informed the media that his ministry has been implementing a housing project, worth of Tk 2,279,700,000 for landless and destitute freedom fighters when replying to Advocate Navana Akhtar.
