MALAYSIA: Bangladesh expatriates’ welfare and overseas employment minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain is scheduled to visit Malaysia on June 24 amid the rumor of opening non-government visa in the country.

Sources said the visit is set to seek new horizon in manpower export in Malaysia as Bangladesh government is putting importance on the demands of workers in non-government sector.

However, the issues of boat migrants as well as the unearthing mass graves in Thailand, bordering Malaysia will also be discussed during the visit, sources added.

Besides, the necessity of opening non-government visa had been published in Malaysian media in recent time.

Bangladesh embassy first secretary SK Shahin said the visiting minister is expected to hold several meetings with Malaysian government officials.

The minister will also hold several meetings with expatriate Bangladeshis, the envoy added.

Moreover, Malaysia Awami League joint convener Maqbul Hossain Mukul said that they will accord a reception to the minister on behalf of expatriate Bangladeshis.
