DHAKA: A construction worker was electrocuted in city’s Lalbagh area on Monday morning.

The victim has been identified as Mohammad Ekhlas (22), son of Mohammad Helal, resident of Lalmohan upazila of Bhola district.

The deceased’s cousin Mamun said that Ekhlas was working at an under-construction house on Water Work Road in Posta. He became critically injured as he came with a live wire.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where attending doctors declared him dead at 10:00am.

DMCH camp police in-charge sub-inspector (SI) Mozammel Haque said Ekhlas’s dead body is kept at DMCH morgue.
