RAJBARI: Two businessmen were killed in a road accident at Chandani in Rajbari district on Wednesday early morning.

The victims were Aminul (40) and Ahadul (30), residents of Gangni upazila of Meherpur district.

Pangsha Highway Thana sub-inspector (SI) Abdul Mannan said that the deceased were going to Faridpur to sell saplings riding on a power-tiller-run vehicle.

They vehicle turned turtle as the driver lost his control over the steering leaving the duo dead on the spot around 5:30am, the SI added.

According to the SI, on information, police rescued the body and sent them to Rajbari Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

However, the driver had managed to flee the spot, Mannan said.
