BARISAL: Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP) suspended 10 police personnel on charges of taking bribe for helping in promotion.

An order in this regard reached at BMP on June 27 from Police Headquarters.

Immediately after getting the allegation, BMP Commissioner Shaibal Kanti CHowdhury formed a 3-member probe committee, led by Deputy Commissioner Shoeb Ahmed.

BMP sources said, the cops were suspended following allegations of taking 30,000 to 50,000 bribes from constables for newly created 800 posts.
