DHAKA: The German Federal Home Ministry Tuesday donated Bangladesh police five Toyota hilux double-cabin vehicles to help maintain law and order in the country.

German Ambassador Holger Michael handed over keys of the vehicles to Additional Inspector General of Police Dr Samsuddoha Khandaker at a simple function at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Liaison Officer of the Federal Criminal Police of Germany Cristina Marion Snider was also present.

Holger said, “I feel delighted for creating a new chapter in the cooperation between the two countries through this contribution.”

The Federal Republic of Germany hoped that this would be helpful to Bangladesh police in performing their responsibilities, he added.
