BMP Deputy Commissioner suspended

BARISAL: Deputy Commissioner of Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP) Zillur Rahman was suspended for his involvement in taking bribe to expedite the promotion of 230 Barisal cops.

He has been closed to Sylhet range on Wednesday, BMP Commissioner Shaibal Kanti Chowdhury confirmed to Banglanews.

On June 27, 10 members of BMP were suspended for allegedly raising funds to bribe ministry officials for promotion.
