DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police detained two criminals of Shahjada Gang from Rampura area early Thursday.

During the drive, a foreign-made pistol and three rounds of bullet were recovered from their possession.

The detainees are Nura, 25, and Russell, 27.

DMP Media Center Additional Police Commissioner Jahangir Alam Sarker confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Detective Police Khilgaon Zonal Team Assistant Commissioner Iqbal Hossain told banglanews that using the name of imprisoned Shahjada, a team have been collecting extortion in Rampura, Khilgaon and Badda areas from long. As per such allegations, DB police conducted the drive.

Earlier, Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested six people of the same group with firearms from city’s Baddda area.
