DHAKA: Armed Police Battalion members held a man with 817-gram gold from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in city on Sunday.

The detainee has been identified as Nasiruddin (37), a resident of Chittagong.

Confirming the matter, Armed Police Battalion assistant police super (media) Tanjina Akhtar said on suspicion they searched Nasiruddin, a passenger who was coming from Dubai.

Later, they seized 817-gram gold tied over his knees, Tanjina added.
