2 Indian traffickers held in Cox’s Bazar

COX’S BAZAR:  Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two Indian human traffickers from link road area of the district Sunday.

During the drive, the elite force also rescued two young ladies from their grip.

RAB-7 Cox’s Bazar camp commanding officer Major Ahmed Hossian Mohiuddin, in a press conference, said the gang collected needy women, on false promise of providing them job, from different area through a syndicate and trafficked into brothels in India for six years.

The two Indian traffickers are Puja Halder, 18, Laxmi Mohanta, 60.

Two rescued women are Rasheda, 28, wife of Shamsul Alam and Jesmin, 20, wife of Ajaher Hossian of Kutupalang area under Ukhia Upazila of the district.
