DHAMRAI (DHAKA): A group of muggers snatched Tk 7 lakh from a businessman in broad daylight in Dhamrai upazila of Dhaka district on Monday.

The incident took place in front of Islami Bank Kalampur Branch in Dhamrai.

Police and locals said that a corrugated iron sheet businessman Abul Kalam went to deposit Tk 7-lakh to the branch.

At least six people, riding on three motorcycles, intercepted Kalam and snatched the bag with Tk 7-lakh.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Dhamrai Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Firoz Talukdar said that police has visited the spot and trying to identify the criminals.
