DHAKA: The High Court (HC) is set to pronounce its verdict Wednesday on second chance for admission at Dhaka University.
An HC bench comprising Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Kazi Md. Ejarul Haque Akondo fixed the date on Tuesday.
The same bench issued a rule on March 16 asking why the university’s decision to not allow second-timers should not be declared illegal.
The court asked the DU VC, Registrar, assistant registrar and exams controller along UGC chairman and education secretary to explain by two weeks.
On 15 October, Dhaka university authority decided to disallow a second chance to aspirants seeking admission. Protests staged across the country as well as the university premises against the decision.
Later 26 guardians of admission seekers filed the writ.
