Bashundhara chairman condoles Amjad Khan’s death

DHAKA: Bashundhara Group Chairman  Ahmed Akbar Sobhan has expressed his deep condolence at the sad demise of Amjad Khan Chowdhury, Managing Director and CEO of Pran-RFL Group.

In his message, Sobhan said Amjad Khan contributed a lot to promote Bangladesh as an export oriented country and also to the economic development of the country.

“I express my deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family and pray to the Almighty Allah to give them strength to bear this irreparable loss and for the salvation of the departed soul,” he added.

Amjad Khan Chowdhury breathed his last on July 8 in the United States at the age of 76.

He was under treatment at Duke Medical Hospital in North Carolina for last one month as he had been suffering from diabetes and heart diseases.

Amjad’s youngest son Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, deputy managing director of Pran-RFL, said that his father will be buried at military graveyard in Dhaka.
