DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police detained nine members of robber gang, including its ringleader Ibrahim, from city’s Diabari area early Saturday.

Police, however, recovered four tolas of gold ornaments from their possessions.

DMP additional commissioner (media) SM Jahangir Alam Sarker confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said acting on tip off, a team of DB police conducted the drive in Diabari area under Turag Thana early hours of Saturday and detained the nine robbers with robbed gold ornaments.

Details will be disclosed in a press conference at DMP media center later on the day, SM Jahangir added.
