BRAHMANBARIA: A Bangladeshi youth was shot dead by miscreants in Cape Town of South Africa Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Wasim, 21, son of one Khayes Mia, hailed from Amtoli village under Nabinagar Upazila of the district.

Family sources confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Deceased’s elder brother Jasim Uddin, who has also been living in Cape Town, informed the matter to the family members through mobile phone.

Wasim’s cousin Zahir Raihan told banglanews that the victim went to South Africa seven months ago and had a retail shop of stationary goods there.
