NETROKONA: A district court here awarded death penalty to a youth on charge of killing his father over land dispute.

Judge of Additional Session Judges Court Md Abdul Hamid passed the order in presence of the accused Hekim, 40, on Monday.

State prosecutor Abdul Kadir Bhuiyan said, “Hekim chopped his father brutally with an axe as he denied handing over inheritance of land on October 8 in 2006.”
