DHAKA: Police detained two people with 22,000 pieces of yaba tablets from city’s Jatrabari area.

Moreover, law enforcers also seized a private car (Dhaka Metro Ga-31-0340) regarding the incident.

The detainees were identified as Mohammad Shah Apple Islam and Mohammad Shahadat Hossain.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) joint commissioner Monirul Islam said at a press conference at DMP media center in city on Monday.

He said on tip-off, they conducted a drive and detained two persons with 22,000 pieces of yaba tablets.

Legal action will be taken against them, he added.
