MAGURA: A court here placed two accused on 1-day remand in the case filed for shooting a newborn in her mother’s womb and a man to death during Juba League faction clash.

Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-1 Farha Mamun passed the order after police produced them before the court with 7-day remand plea on Monday.

On Sunday, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) team detained prime accused Sen Sumon from Kolyanpur of Dhaka and another accused Nazrul was detained from WAPDA area of Magura.

On July 23, a pregnant woman and a elderly man was shot during a clash in Doarpara of the district town. On July 26, a case was filed against 16 people.
