NAWABGANJ (DHAKA): Two children drowned in a ditch at Sultanpur village under Nawabganj upazila of Dhaka district on Monday.

The victims were identified as Munna, 7, son of one Monayem of Sultanpur village and Nirob, 6, son of one Nadim of Kunda village of the upazila.

A local, Yusuf, said Munna and Nirob drowned in the ditch when they went for bath around 3:30pm.

Their relatives found the floating bodies after searching frantically for a while.

Nawabganj Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Sayedur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
