BAGERHAT: Police recovered 18 people, who are being trafficked into India, from Darkana Tollghat Bridge of the district town Friday.

During the time, Bagerhat model thana police detained a human trafficker red handed.

The detainee is identified as M Aftab Hawlader, 38, son of late Dalil Uddin of Morelganj upazila.

On the other hand, details about the rescued women and children, who were being taken toward Satkhira frontier by a truck, could not be known immediately.

Bagerhat assistant police commissioner Hayatul Islam Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
