COMILLA: Rail communications of Chittagong with Dhaka and other parts of the country were suspended on Saturday morning following derailment of three compartments of a freight train in Comila Sadar.
The Dinajpur-bound train from Chittagong veered of tracks in Banasua area of Sadar upazila around 10:30am, Comilla Railway assistant executive engineer Mostafizur Rahman told banglanews.
No casualties were reported from the accident.
On information a relief train from Laksham was on way to the spot, Mostafizur Rahman added.
