14 injury marks on Niloy’s body

DHAKA: Doctors found 14 chopping injury marks on the body of slain blogger Niladri Chattopadhyay Niloy during completion of the autopsy on Saturday.

Dr Mohammad Hossain of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) forensic department carried out the autopsy and the report was made by Khilgaon Thana SI Hero Molla.

After the autopsy, DMCH forensic department head Professor Habibuzzaman Chowdhury said, “A total of 14 chopping injury marks are found on Niloy’s body including eight serious injuries on neck, chin, hand and chin which led him to death”.

On Friday, 40-year-old secular blogger Niloy was hacked to death at his flat in Dhaka Friday by four machete-wielding assailants in the fourth such brutal murder in Bangladesh this year.

Niloy was killed by unidentified assailants inside his fourth-floor flat at North Gorhan in the capital.
