Ensure tougher punishment for child abusers Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed authorities concerned to ensure exemplary punishment for child abusers.

She made the directive on the occasion of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa and also her mother’s birth anniversary at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in city on Saturday.

Recalling her sweet memories of her mother, the PM said, my father (Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman) always got inspiration and encouragement from my mother.

‘My mother used to maintain the family when my father was imprisoned. We also got inspiration from her. She used to look after the party activists.’

The PM said that people, who abuses children, must face exemplary punishment.

‘I have asked law and home ministries to ensure exemplary punishment for the child abusers. Nobody will get spare.’

On the murder of blogger and terrorism, Sheikh Hasina said that her incumbent government will not allow bloodshed in the name of religion.
