HILI (DINAJPUR): Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members detained five Indian citizens for intrusion through Hili border in Dinajpur district on Saturday.

The detainees are Lichu Roy (30), son of Mono Roy, his wife Kajoli Roy, (26) and their two daughters Lipi Roy (5) and Popy Roy, (2), and Lichu’s cousin Shiben Roy (30), son of Gangu Roy of Kawali village under Tapan Thana of India’s South Dinajpur district.

The BGB members detained them from Hili-Birampur Tempo stand near the border around 2:00pm while they were going to their relatives’ house in Bangladesh paying Tk 1,500 per person to an Indian broker.

The BGB members issued a letter to Border Security Force (BSF) to take the detainees back.
