KHULNA: Police detained three people with skins of two Royal Bengal Tigers from Charamukh area of Koyra upazila of Khulna district early Saturday.

Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation division’s divisional officer Zahidul Kabir told banglanews that he was informed about the detention of three people with two tiger skins.

On information, he was on the way to the spot.

But a local source said that seven people were detained with skins of three tigers. However, banglanews could not get any comment from the thana concerned despite repeated attempts.

Earlier on Friday, police detained two suspected poachers with 69 pieces of bones of Royal Bengal Tigers from Natun Bazar launch ghat area of Khulna.
