DHAKA: Mob-beat killed a bus driver of Shyamoli Parabahan in city’s Sayedabad area early Tuesday.

The deceased driver was identified as Shibu Chandra Dey alias Debanath Bhai, 45, hailed from Jaflong of Sylhet.

Helper of the bus Shamim told banglanews they started their journey for Chhatak Upazila of Sylhet from Fakirapul on city at night.

Passengers got angry and beat the driver black and blue as they stopped the bus at counter no. 6 at Sayedabad Janapada intersection area for passengers.

Later, the driver was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctor declared him dead on arrival.

DMCH camp police in-charge Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
