CHITTAGONG: Detective Branch (DB) of police detained two human traffickers and rescued six including four Rohingyas from Khulshi Thana area of Chittagong port city on Tuesday.

Confirming the matter to banglanews port city DB police additional deputy commissioner SM Tanvir Arafat said that the traffickers gathered the victims in the area to send them to Malaysia by sea.

DB police assistant commissioner (port) ABM Faizul Islam told banglanews that four of Myanmar citizens intruded Bangladesh to go to Malaysia.

On information, we conducted the drive and detained the traffickers and also rescued the victims, he added.
