KHULNA: A pickup van crashed into a motorcycle on the Khulna-Satkhira Highway in Dumuria Friday, leaving a bank official killed and his wife injured.

The deceased was named as Bappi Sadhuka, 35, an official of BRAC Bank.

Bappi’s wife, Shampa Rani, was admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.

Police and witnesses said the pickup van smashed the motorcycle carrying the newly-wed couple in Baratia area at about 11:15 am, killing Bappi on the spot.
