PM condoles Makkah death

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep condolence over the causalities following the crane collapse in Grand Mosque in the holy city of Makkah.

PM press wing said a condolence message has been sent to Saudi king Salman Bin Abdul Aziz on behalf of herself and her government.

The PM also prayed for the salvation of the departed souls and showed her sympathy to the family members of the victims.

She also prayed for the immediate recovery of injured.

In the message, the PM also mentioned that her nation is ready to provide any sort of assistance if necessary.

Moreover, Sheikh Hasina has given order to Bangladesh embassy and consulates to provide necessary assistance to the victims.

At least 107 people have been killed after a crane toppled over at Grand Mosque in Makkah on Friday, less than two weeks before Islam's annual Hajj pilgrimage.

In addition to the deaths, 238 people were wounded in the disaster, according to Saudi Arabia's Civil Defence Authority.
