DHAKA: Jatiya Party lawmaker from Mymensingh-7 constituency (Trishal) MA Hannan, his son Rafique Sajjad and three others arrested in a case filed for crimes against humanity during Liberation War in 1971.

Three other arrestees are: Dr Khandaker Golam Sabbir, Mizanur Rahman Mintu and Harmuj Ali.

Banani Thana police detained MA Hannan along with his son Rafique Sajjad from their residence at Gulshan on Thursday afternoon.

They were handed over to Gulshan Police Station, said Banani Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Salahuddin.

Three other accused were arrested from Mymensingh

Earlier, International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) issued arrest warrant against eight war crimes accused.

On May 19, Rahima Khatun, wife of martyred freedom fighter Commander Abdur Rahim, filed a case against three.
