DHAKA: Home ministry senior secretary Dr Mozammel Haque Khan on Tuesday said that Bangladesh and India have reached in a consensus about sharing information to fight terrorism.
He further said that both the countries also agreed to decrease the number of killing in border areas.
The senior secretary made the disclosures after the second day’s meeting of the two-day Bangladesh and India secretary-level talks on issues pertaining to security and border management at Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel in city on Tuesday.
Dr M Mozammel Haque Khan lead the 18-member Bangladesh team while India home secretary Rajiv Mehrishi lead 15-member delegation in the second day’s talk.
Earlier, the first day’s meeting of joint working group of the two neighboring countries ended Monday afternoon.
