CHITTAGONG: Police have detained 59 persons conducting special drives in different parts of Chittagong district.

Moreover, as many as 141 liters of locally made liquor, 2 unregistered CNG-run auto-rickshaws and a motorcycle were seized during the drives.

Chittagong additional police super (special branch) Abdul Awal told banglanews that law enforcers have been conducting anti-violence drives for several days.

They rounded up 59 persons as a part of the special drive conducted from Friday night to Saturday morning, he added.
