DHAKA: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized 50,000 pieces yaba tablets worth of Tk1.5 crore from an ambulance in Marichya check post of Cox’s Bazar early Monday.

During the drive, BGB men detained two people including a nurse, in this connection.

Confirming the mater, BGB headquarters public relations Mohammad Mohsin Reza told banglanews that BGB men, during searching an ambulance at Marichya check post, found 50,000 pieces yaba tablets and held a nurse on board and its driver.

The market value of the seized yaba is about Tk1.50 crore.

Process of taking action against them is underway, he added.
