DHAKA: High Court issued a rule upon government to explain why the program of collecting information on persons below 18 years old while updating voter list should not be declared illegal.

An HC bench comprising Justice Moinul Islam and Justice Ashraful Kamal passed the order Tuesday.

Chief election commissioner and secretary to election commission secretariat have been asked to explain within ten days.

Advocate ZI Khan Panna filed the writ on August 17.
