DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will fly to New Delhi on Wednesday to attend the funeral of Suvra Mukherjee, wife of India President Pranab Mukherjee.

Her sister Sheikh Rehana and Foreign Minister AH Mahmud Ali will accompany her.

The premier will return Dhaka after the funeral, said her press secretary Ihsanul Karim on Tuesday.

President Abdul Hamid and PM Hasina mourned the death of Indian first lady.

Suvra Mukherjee passed away on Tuesday morning at the age of 75.
