DHAKA: Ramzan alias Siam and Nayeem were directly involved in killing of bloggers Avijit and Ananta while Julhas Biswas, Jafran Al Hasan and Sadique Ali were other members of the killing missions.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) director Mufti Mahmud Khan disclosed the names at a press conference held at RAB office in city on Tuesday noon.

Of involved, the elite force arrested Sadique Ali.

RAB detained Tawhidur Rahman, Sadeque Ali and Aminul Mallik conducting drives in city’s Nilkhet and Dhanmondi areas on Monday night.

All the detainees are active members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team, claimed the RAB.

Among the detainees, Tawhidur was financer and Sadeque and Aminul were planners of the killing, the RAB boss added.

Mufti said that they have confessed about their involvement in the killings of bloggers Avijit and Ananta.
