DHAKA: Bangla daily ‘Samakal’ editor Golam Sarwar has been made chairman of Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB).

A gazette notification was issued on Monday.

According to the notification, the post of PIB chairman was made vacant due to the death of Habibur Rahman Milon.

Golam Sarwar, born on April 1, 1943 in Banaripara of Barisal district, was conferred with ‘Ekushey Padak’ in 2013.
