DHAKA: The 20th Bashundhara City Grand Eid Raffle Draw-2015 was held at the atrium of Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in the capital on Wednesday.
The holder of coupon serial number ‘W-145801’ won a Toyota VIOS-1500cc car as first prize this year.
Besides, the coupon holder of ‘E-247878’ won a set of diamond as the second prize and the holder of ‘K-191224’ received a Chery QQ3 812cc car as third prize.
A total of 120 prizes, including 11 as ‘mega’ and 109 as ‘super’ were distributed in the latest edition of draw.
The first part of the raffle draw started at Level-1 atrium of the shopping mall at 11:00am and ended at 2:00pm.
Draws of three mega and 109 super prizes were held in the first part of the event.
Second part of the draw started around 4:10pm and was telecast live on Channel-i, a private satellite channel.
Noted poet, musician and researcher Mustafa Zaman Abbasi attended the second part as chief guest. Eminent singer Khurshid Alam and artiste SM Saberi Alam also attended the program.
Bashundhara City Shopping Mall Dokan Malik Samity president MA Hannan Azad and senior vice-president Golam Mawla attended the program as specials guests.
Besides, Bashundhara City in-charge TIM Latiful Hossain, also senior adviser (technical) to the Chairman of Bashundhara Group, senior executive director (accounts) of Bashundhara City Sheikh Abdul Alim, senior executive director (marketing & sales) of East West Property Development (Pvt.) Ltd Bidyut Kumar Bhowmik, general manager (admin & HR) of Bashundhara City Major (retd.) Mustafa Rahel Imam and high-ups of Bashundhara Group and Bashundhara City are expected to attend the draw.
Earlier in the day, after reciting from holy Quran at the beginning, a special prayer was organized commemorating the 40th martyrdom of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members and relatives.
This year, the fourth prize was jewelries of five-bhori gold, the fifth prize was a three-day tour package to Cox’s Bazar, sixth prize was jewelries of three-bhori gold, seventh prize was Mahindra 110cc scooter and eighth prize was Mahindra 110cc motorcycle.
Country’s leading online news portal banglanews24.com was the online media partner of the raffle draw.
Besides, Bangla dailies ‘Dainik Kaler Kantho’, ‘Dainik Bangladesh Protidin’, English daily the ‘Daily Sun’, Radio Bhumi and Channel-i were the other media partners.
