DHAKA: Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque commented that gunfight takes places fearing life risk of police during taking legal action against criminals.

The police boss made the comment at a training course ‘Intelligence Analysis for Tiger Range Country’ at Police Staff College in city’s Mirpur area on Sunday noon.

According to him, if someone died in gunfight, it takes place in a legal process.

‘We have to be accountable for this sort of death,’ Shahidul added.
