DHAKA: As many as five hundred places have been specific for slaughtering the sacrificial animals in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) area.

The city dwellers are asked to sacrifice their cattle in specific areas in 57 wards of DSCC.

Moreover, devotees will also be allowed to sacrifice animals at permanent slaughterhouses.

Legal action will be taken if anyone violates the corporation directives.

The DSCC will also take preparations to keep the slaughter places hygienic and environment-friendly.

DSCC chief health official Brigadier General Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman told banglanews that they have taken the initiatives to keep the environment clean from animal waste and the places hygienic as well.

More publicity works including miking, advertisement, banner and leaflet distribution, will continue to make the city dwellers aware about the matter, he added.
