UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: At least three Bangladeshis were killed and two others injured in a road accident in United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday morning (local time).
The deceased were identified as Muhammad Akhter Hossain, son of one Abdul Halim, hailed from Katirhat area under Hathazari of Chittagong, Muhammad Ilias, 45, hailed from Noapara of Raozan Thana of Chittagong and Muhammad Farhad Hossain, 28, son of one Muhammad Jafar, hailed from Union no. 7.
Sources said five Bangladeshis were going from Abu Dhabi to their work place in Al Ain.
On the way, the vehicle hit a roadside establishment as the driver lost control over the steering, leaving three people dead on the spot and two others injured around 7:00 am (local time).
The bodies were kept at Al Ain Jimi Hospital and the injured are under treatment here, sources added.
Confirming the matter, Ambassador Muhammad Imran and Labour Counsellor Muhammad Arman Ullah Chowdhury of Bangladesh embassy in Dubai told banglanews that they have talked to the victims’ families.
The bodies will be sent to the country through due process.
They also said about ensuring proper treatment of the injured.
