PABNA: A district court on Thursday noon granted two-day remand for six accused of killing three by mob beating on suspicion of child-pickers in Santhia upazila of Pabna district.
Senior judicial magistrate court-3 judge AKM Rawshan Jahan passed the order after the hearing.
Santhia Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Abul Kashem told banglanews that the court accepted 2-day remand for each in response of their five-day plea.
However, police arrested six people from different places of the district after scrutinizing the video clips taken on the mob beating.
The arrestees are Khokon (32), son of Kalu Sarkar; Ahsan Habiib (32), son of Ansar Mollah; Abu Bakar Siddique (16), son of Raju Pramanik; Sujan Das (18), son of Anjan Das; Bishnu Das (20), son of Nayan Das and Liton Das (20), son of Khitish Chandra Das.
Earlier on August 25, three people were killed in mob beating on suspicion of child pickers in Karmja Haat in Santhia upazila.
