FROM KURIGRAM: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that her incumbent government has solved the 68-year old suffering of erstwhile enclave people in the country.
The PM made this assertion while addressing a mass rally at Kurigram Sadar Government College ground on Thursday afternoon.
She said that the ruling Awami League (AL) removed the ‘monga’ (famine) in the area in their last tenure in the government.
‘The monga retuned in the area due to the negligence of the then BNP-led government,’ the PM added.
Blaming the governments after the martyrdom of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the premier said that the post-75 governments did not take any step to solve the problems of land boundary and marine boundary as well.
The AL government has solved these long-standing problems, she opined.
According to her, by solving the enclave problems with India, the AL government has removed the 68-year old suffering of people of that area.
