Chuadanga: Police authority Saturday suspended the officer-in-charge of Alamdanga Thana, Elias Fakir, on charges of neglect of duty and nepotism.     
 
Khulna Divisional Police Headquarters issued him the marching order and he handed over charge of the Thana to Sub-Inspector Manaranjan at noon.   

On condition of anonymity, one police officer said the authorities concerned punished him for showing nepotism and on various other allegations.

“No cause of the suspension was, however, assigned in the suspension order,” he added.

SP Nazrul Islam of Chuadanga confirmed it.
